Blog commencement (feel free to skip this part)
Really good writers have catchy titles and opening lines. Bad ones break such conventions, ignoring ancient rules of ethos, and begin their speeches or writings besmirching (click the link to see where I found this really neat word) their own character. Though I have obviously been educated as to avoid such a blunder, for your benefit I think it is necessary to involve us both in the latter.
That said, a word of caution: the character of the blog you are about to read (do you "read" blogs? or do you "bread"? "bsurf"?) can best be described by the prefix "quasi." That is because here you will not find...
...great positivity or motivation,
...highly academic or carefully researched arguments,
...wholly original thoughts,
...the thing you're looking for,
...or anything else beyond a guy reflecting on life, blowing off some steam, amusing himself much more than any of his "breaders," and in general enjoying his own little world (his "JoeZone," if you will... and you will) right out in the open for others to see.
But, to my credit, I don't think that you're reading a "pseudo" blog. Seriously, there will be some good stuff on here. You'll want to bookmark this page and check on it every few days or something. If, after I get a few posts on here, you disagree with this claim, simply email me with a topic you'd like discussed, reference this particular entry, and I'll try to have something definitive posted on the subject within about 2-3 days. If it's a really huge issue about something like reality TV, what the stars are doing, the closing of Astroworld, whether Splenda is better than Sweet'n'Low, football, or who to blame for all the problems in the world, those may take more like 3-5 days since my response will, of course, need to be so much more thorough. (I suspect that some of you were offended by this last remark - if you were, click here to help you come to terms with the reason why.)
If you've read this far then you have a stronger stomach than most. And for you I promise that, should you return to my site for the real posts, I'll have something more for you than aimless ramblings and satirical pessimism for its own sake. Besides, the longer I wait to actually be for something, the more I'll realize I was actually for nothing, and since no one can actually be for nothing, they end up being for something they never wanted to be for, and we want to avoid that at all costs.
Anyways, thanks for stopping by. Enjoy yourself. Make yourself at home. Drop me a line if you have something to say or if you have nothing to say but want to attempt to do so as eloquently as myself.
